Speaking of Families...

Summertime......

Later today we're going to visit with a few of the members from the other side of my husbands family. We're going to have a picnic just like they used to, down at a cottage on the Connecticut shoreline. His grandfather, Ralston Marigold S-- had two families. The first family included his father (my father-in-law), a brother and two sisters.

The second family came much later in his life, several years after the death of his first wife. He remarried a younger woman and had a second family. These children were about the ages of his grandchildren. The three daughters M.,K.and J. where born Aunts to the following people, seven boys and two girls- four boys by my father-in law and one from his brother, two boys from the youngest sister and two girls from the oldest daughter.

So we are going to visit the "Great-half-Aunts".
