I call her Aliza Serious Pants.
I've always known that she would do it. No one ever crawls into their first day of kindergarten. She's really been walking for a while now, but she has just not wanted to"let go." Always very cautious, she would prefer to hold a hand whenever she was up on two feet. Crawling was her best and fastest way to get where she wanted to go.
But today --- Here she is- independent and on a mission. She walks right passed me with out asking for any help. Later this afternoon at the park, she walked all around, next to me- without holding my hand.
She is more daring today. Walking up hills and over obstacles in her way. Her new power has given her a new confidence at the park. She walks over to "little Sarah" to share a shovel and sits down to play. Miss Aliza Independence Pants, is up and down all by herself, a new day for both of us. What a joy to watch all of this... unfolding!
